Executive Organizer

Reverend Dr. Chad A. White, Sr. hails from the State of Louisiana.  He was born in New Orleans on May 25, 1973, the youngest of seven children born to the Reverend and Mrs. John T. and Emily White.

 

Reverend White accepted his call into the ministry at the age of 18.  After praying and seeking God’s face, he announced his calling to the congregation at Greater King Solomon Baptist Church on the first Sunday in January 1991. He preached his first sermon on the first Sunday in May 1991 and was ordained on February 5, 1993.

Dr. White graduated from St. Augustine High School in New Orleans, LA.  He attended, American Baptist College in Nashville, Tennessee and graduated from Cincinnati Christian University, Cincinnati, Ohio with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biblical Studies with emphasis in Leadership and Ministry. He completed his Masters of Arts Degree in Ministry at Indiana Wesleyan University. Reverend White received an Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree from the Temple Theological Seminary of Cincinnati, Ohio for leading a relief effort for those affected by Hurricane Katrina and a Doctorate of Ministry from the United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio with a focus on 21st Century Congregational Leadership.  He is currently pursuing a PhD at the Union Institute and University in Cincinnati in Creative Ethical Leadership with a focus on the ministry of Dr. M. L. King. His intended research will be on the intersection of spirituality, ethics, and leadership in manifesting the beloved Community as described by Dr. King.

Dr. White has taught for numerous years in the National Baptist Convention, served as an editor for the New National Baptist Hymnal 21st Century Edition and as a writer for Sunday school curriculum for R. H Boyd Publishing Company. He also has articles published in the African American Pulpit, Pastoral Resources, and writes a blog on pastoral care for palliative care patients and their loved ones.

Dr. White was called to the Pastoral Leadership of the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church of Dayton, Ohio on Easter Sunday, April 2003.  Under his leadership, Mt. Carmel has experienced rapid growth and increased its impact in the Miami Valley and beyond. 

​

Dr. White holds and has held numerous denominational and ecumenical positions on local, state and national levels. 


He led in the formation of an 11-church consortium called “Fifth Sunday Fellowship” in the city of Dayton, OH and traveled as a missionary to Haiti in the aftermath of their earthquake to personally deliver over $30,000 that was collected through the combined efforts of the “Fifth Sunday Fellowship”.

Dr. White enjoys reading, golfing, fishing and hunting and is a proud member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.
